I can’t believe we haven’t blogged this shoot before, a few images on Facebook perhaps but at the beginning of September we put a team together to shoot images for Jacqueline Doxey’s new couture bridal collection
And when I say team: we had three models, a hair stylist, a make-up artist, two designers supplying jewellery, two more on hair extensions and a variety of sandwich makers and general helpers who all mucked in to help.
Quite a crew.
Jackie’s studio is in the Warwickshire village of Chesterton which led us towards a countryside theme featuring the windmill. And when I discovered we had access to birds of prey well the ideas just kept coming.
By some strange coincidence they did a shoot on Britain and Ireland’s next top model a couple of weeks before ours – the program must have been filmed ages back so we both came up with the idea independently. And the good news an important lesson to be learned from the TV shoot, don’t feed the birds first because they’ll pooh all over the dresses.
Jackie’s web-site will have these images very soon, but they’ve already been well used at this season’s wedding fairs so here are a few to show you.
And the credits: Models Lyndsey-Jane Hall , Crystal Bates and Ali de Foy, MUA Anna Ashfield, Hair Keri Chimes of Headmasters, hair extensions Flip-in hair, Tiaras Calla Crystal Tiara and jewellery Tam Vo
(I’m not telling where we got the shotgun or the Alvis from)
the images are lit with an Elinchrom quadra except for the cornfield images where we used a 6′ x 4′ California Sunbounce
