David morphew: Wedding photography & Wedding photographer in Warwickshire

Jewellery on location

If I’m honest I’ve always shied away from photographing jewellery, it’s challenging to photograph because being shiny it reflects lights and I much prefer working with people than things.

But it’s good to stretch yourself occasionally, I had an idea, all I needed was someone daft enough to lend me lots of precious things.

I’ve known Tam Vo for a while now and been very impressed with her work, I should emphasise she’s not really daft, just very trusting and she loved the idea of a more “organic” approach to photographing jewellery. So off we went to the woods…..

And for the photographers out there the images were light by a single speedlight with a snoot to give a small pool of light, the flash beingĀ  attached to the camera with an extension cord.
