Trees for Life

December, frosty mornings, cold sunny days and the best time of the year for tree planting, so last Friday and Saturday found me at Woodgate Valley Country Park, taking pictures for Birmingham Trees for Life.

Friday was for corporate sponsors and on Saturday families came out in force to plant a tree in memory of a loved one.

Taking pictures in really strong sunshine is always a challenge (I noticed the photographer from the Post heading off into the shade) you have two options – keep the sun behind you and try not to make your subjects look into the sun, that works really well if they're looking down, or get the sun behind them and use some flash
