Natural portrait photography

These lifestyle images are influenced by the pictures we see in glossy magazines and adverts rather than the old masters. The most natural looking photographs have usually been stage-managed. My job as a photographer is to help you relax and have fun, while I set up shots that look great.

Where will you take the pictures?

I can either come to your home or we can go to a location of your choice. If you prefer a more formal look we can create a studio in your front room.

What will I get for my money?

Apart from lots of fun you’ll get a load of images to choose from, presented as screen resolution images on a CD. These are yours to keep. As a bonus I’ll give you an 8 by 6 inch print.

Do I have to buy a framed print?

Not unless you want to. Unlike some studios we know who entice you in for £25, and then give you the hard sell there’s absolutely no obligation for you to buy anything. (Of course I rather hope you will).

I offer a fabulous range of framed and mounted prints. I can show you all sorts of exiting ways to display your images, but if you just want to buy a couple of prints – that’s OK. You can even have them on a DVD, set to the music of your choice.

Everyone appreciates a really good photograph. But ironically, most people hate having their photo taken.

Just like wedding photography, portraits have moved on from posed studio pictures that copied the classical painters. Today’s customers prefer pictures that are more natural and relaxed - often taken in their own home or outdoors.
